*** Test Customers Connected ***

The first test Customers are now connected to the brand new BOX Broadband ultrafast, pure fibre network and the service is up and running.

Next week further test Customers will be connected as additional network is brought into service.

Customer connections will start from 22nd January, our Team will contact all Customers who have registered for the service over the next week to arrange installation dates.

 

 

 

 

BOX Broadband Open Day - Rescheduled + Latest Update

The open day at the Walliswood Village Hall booked for Saturday 6th Jan, will now be rescheduled until later in January, the new date will be confirmed over the next few days.

We are in the final stages of configuring the network, initial customer connections will be completed next week.

BOX Engineers will be busy over the coming days, completing network fibre optic splicing and testing in preparation of connecting our first customers onto our brand new fibre optic broadband network.

In the meantime work continues to bring our network to more areas, we are now completing the final section of Lower Breache Road.

*** Network LIVE ***

We are pleased to announce that the backhaul connection work is now complete and we have successfully connected our network back to our datacentre in London.

All of the BOX Broadband team have worked extremely hard to get this work completed.

Our head-end will now undergo a period of configuration and testing, with the first test customers being connected in early January 2018.

We will then be connecting all the customers who have network connections outside their properties.

Our network build continues in the new year, we look forward to bringing our broadband service to as many of you as possible.

May we take this opportunity to thank everybody who has helped and supported us to date, without their assistance we would not have been able to bring our network to you.

Network Update

As many of the local community are aware there have been some delays in getting the new BOX Broadband network live and ready to connect customers.

In order to bring the broadband service to Ewhurst and the surrounding areas, we are required to connect to a fibre optic "national grid" to connect into a datacentre in London.  This can be a complex and time consuming process as a number of parties are involved and there are many stages to this process.

After a frustrating period of waiting we are now in the final stages of this process and hope to be able to announce a live date shortly.

Below is a picture (relatively low resolution, taken from some distance away) of our Contractor, Boxcom's, Network Engineers working with our National Network Suppliers to complete the first stage of the interconnect work.

We will keep you updated of further progress.

BOX Broadband Community Day - 18th November - EYSC, Ewhurst

Come and meet the BOX Broadband team at the EYSC on Saturday 18th November.

The Team will be on hand to answer your questions, show you how the network works, what an installation involves and highlight the benefits of the BOX Broadband service.

We are currently working on our Phase 01 network roll out, if you want the service brought to your area in the next phase come and see us.

We welcome communities from all areas of the Surrey Hills and beyond.

We are there from 10AM to 4PM, refreshments provided.
