Trenchless moling in action

Trenchless moling reduces the need to excavate entire cable routes and minimises the need to close roads.  We are keen to keep our works as low impact as possible and will be informing all properties of any works in their area in advance.

Box at the Plant Sale

We would like to thank all the members of the Ewhurst Horticultural Society for making us welcome at the Plant Sale this morning.

It was great to meet more local residents and hand out leaflets detailing our new network.

Our team have spent the afternoon visiting customers and taking orders, to book yours please call 03301 130 180. Monday to Friday, 8AM to 6PM.

There are still a lot of local residents who have not yet heard about our exciting new fibre optic broadband network, talk to your neighbours and spread the word, ultrafast broadband is coming!

Welcome to our blog page

The building of the first Box Broadband, pure fibre, ultrafast network is now well and truly underway.  Our contractor Boxcom is making excellent progress installing long distance fibre optic cables across areas of private land to the north of Froggetts Lane (Ewhurst).

Plans are now in place for the head-end cabinet and the order is placed for the connection to the national backhaul service, this work will start shortly.

We are now taking orders for the new broadband service in Froggetts Lane and sections of Horsham Lane (GU6 7SW) and the Horsham Road (RH5 5RL).  Please call 03301 130 180 to place an order.

Our representatives will be delivering leaflets to all properties in the area detailed on the map (above).  They will take the opportunity to knock on your door to discuss the service and answer any questions you may have.  Service is due to be delivered in July, further updates and confirmation of timescale will be announced over the next few weeks.

In order to accelerate the connection program we will be undertaking installations to homes before the service is live. This consists of installing the micro-blown fibre tube from the connection point at the boundary into the property.  This will involve forming a narrow trench and drilling a small hole (14mm) diameter through the wall.  The router will not be installed at this stage, this will be carried out once the network is live (target July).

This three month time scale gives potential Customers time to plan their migration onto the new service.

Further details of the installation process will be posted on the Box Broadband site over the next few days.

In addition to the area announced as taking orders, our team will also be visiting properties in Plough Lane and Lower Breache Road.  We are looking to reach the required number of customers to proceed with this section of the build.  Our team will be in the area over the next couple of weeks.

If you are interested getting this new service then we need sufficient sign up in your street.  The key is communities coming together to spread the word, we are currently looking to engage any local people who wish to assist us with this task, leaflet dropping etc.  We are still finding local residents that are unaware of our plans and are very interested in connecting

If you wish to arrange a time for a member of our team to visit you, please call our Customer Service on 03301 130 180, they are open seven days a week, 7AM to 6PM.
